Browser-Based Viewing Solution

With a new mobile deployment option, a flexible browser-based interface and other extensive architecture improvements, S1000Dinteract™ has a new name: S1000Dprism™.

A browser-based viewer system allows local users to view S1000D-compliant documentation on a standalone basis, or while connected to a server over an Intranet or the Internet. Prism provides a flexible publishing capability to view the same format on screen as on paper or PDF. The familiar look throughout the viewing process enables S1000D users to save time and increase productivity. Once the information has been authored, Prism is the ultimate tool for viewing information compiled from the Common Source Data Base (CSDB). The S1000D viewer organizes and simplifies the navigation of massive amounts of highly detailed documentation, resulting in richer and more robust Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).

Inmedius S1000DprismPrism represents each manual as a card, showing the current status icon, manual title, ID, language code and date. A simple click on the icon opens a manual. A swipe or click brings up additional actions for system administrators.

New Mobile Device Access Option

Prism’s UI includes larger button sizes, row heights and clickable items that are touch-enabled for better usability with mobile devices. Responsive design ensures that whether used on a desktop, laptop or touchscreen device, Prism has the same general appearance and behavior – adapting the UI to the dimensions of the screen in use. The mobile deployment option requires an additional license. Apple iPad® users can download the Prism mobile application from the online Apple App Store.

Maintenance ManualAll three versions of Prism use the same UI – offline desktop version, online server based in a web browser, and new mobile application.

Consistent Presentation

Create consistency and structure by presenting information in exactly the same format on paper as on screen. Users experience a consistent look throughout the viewing process.

Highlight Changes

Emphasize data changes, enabling users to quickly locate and review updated content.

Standalone or Server-Based Access

The browser-based user interface of Prism enables access to content in both standalone and server-based environments, without the need for time-consuming software installations on additional machines. Prism also works in conjunction with existing authoring and management tools, automatically formatting and displaying the composite information.
