Server Requirements
S1000Dinstructor requires the following hardware and software configurations for the application server.
Hardware Configuration
Processor:
- Single CPU: 3 GHz or greater minimum
- Dual CPU: 2GHz or greater recommended
Memory:
Disk Space:
- 500 MB + additional for managed content (in database)
Software Configuration
Operating system:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server
Web Browser (for local administration):
- Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0 or higher

Client Requirements
Hardware
- 256MB RAM Minimum (512 recommended)
- 16-bit (or higher) VGA monitor set to 800x600 pixels (1024x768 recommended)
Software
- Microsoft® Windows 2000 Professional, 2000 Server Family or Windows XP
- Arbortext™ Editor™ v5.0, 5.1 or 5.2 as host application
- The following applications need to be resident on the client to view or create published outputs:
- Internet Explorer: view HTML output
- Adobe® Acrobat®/Acrobat Reader: view PDF output
- Acrobat Distiller/Distiller Server: create PDF files with the optional PDF Composer (v4.3.1 and 4.4 only)
- Arbortext Print Composer™ v5 or above
