Interact is a browser-based system that permits users to view S1000D™ compliant documentation on a standalone basis or while connected to a server over an Intranet or the Internet. Interact provides a flexible publishing capability to see the same format on screen as on paper or PDF, ensuring a familiar look for the user throughout the viewing process. Once the information has been authored, Interact is the ultimate tool for viewing all the information that has been compiled from the Common Source Database (CSDB) into the proper composite form. Interact organizes and simplifies massive amounts of technical documentation. |

Flexible Architecture
Project Customization
A flexible architecture allows quick and easy response to customer-specific customization requirements for presentation, such as the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and data storage. The integrity of the source data structure is maintained, while customizing the appearance of the presentation and identifying where data is to be stored. Authoring systems and data formats can be used interchangeably, without altering the viewing system. You control the look and feel without distorting the information.
Global Search Capability
Search for information in a specific manual or search across all manuals within the system. Allows you to further filter the search content by model, section, subject, chapter, subsection, or info code.
Bookmarks, Hotspots and Annotations
Bookmarks help guide the user back to specific sections. Annotations are used to highlight critical content. Complex graphics can be displayed with hotspots and magnification. Using the Figures Tab, users can reference a complete list of figures utilized in a specific manual.
References
Links can be created to URLs or files on disk, and referenced from a link in the publication.
Acronym Tooltips
Activate and view an acronym definition by simply placing the mouse over an acronym in the data.

Consistent Presentation
Interact creates consistency and structure by presenting the user with the same format on screen as they are accustomed to seeing on paper versions or PDF. Printing from Interact has the same look and feel, consistent with documents printed from the authoring environment. This ensures a consistent format for the user throughout the viewing and printing process.
Table of Contents
Promotes an organized, structured, and familiar format for viewing. Users can use the table to select a specific section or page to view, avoiding the lengthy process of scrolling through the entire manual. |

The Power of Integration
Interact and the integrated Inmedius S1000D™ Publishing Suite™ is a complete, end-to-end solution to successfully manage the technical documentation publication process. Working in conjunction with both S1000Dmanager™ and S1000DauthorPro™, Interact properly formats and displays information that may be accessed over a network or locally, depending on the needs of the user. Users report information defects using discrepancy reporting capabilities. Errors can be instantly available for Data Module authors to view in their native AuthorPro environment. This tight integration greatly increases the likelihood that problems will be reported and addressed by the appropriate author.
