Efficient Processing, Incorporation of Comments
Add, send, and edit comments seamlessly between publication department, OEM, and other project partners (regardless of their location), streamlining the comment and approval process for S1000D™ documents.
- End users directly input comments into the technical document viewing system where an error is present or a change needs to occur. To add a comment the user simply highlights a word and then right clicks to add a comment. The author can quickly receive the information back and make the appropriate changes based on the comments that were inserted. Communication between the author and end-user is streamlined and the entire process is electronic, reducing the margin for error.
- Throughout the process, users are able to edit comments as they evolve or remove comments that have been resolved.
- The project manager is notified when a new comment has been added. All comments on the document are specific to an exact location on the page, which enables efficient and effective viewing.

The system maintains a complete document history of all user comments for audit and review accuracy. This enables users to review the comment history at a future date, even if the quality assurance and review cycle for a particular technical document has ended. It also helps to place the comment in context and to clarify any ambiguity in a reviewer’s comments.
